We adopted Pepper from the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society last Sunday and she's a real gem. She's one smart cookie and is great with the boys so far, they are in heaven and happy to have a dog that will acknowledge and play with them. The Willster is doing good and mostly tries to ignore her although oddly enough he has been listening better than ever before.
We're pretty sure she is border collie but what she's mixed with is a crap shoot, our best guess is lab, shep or husky. Pepper will be a medium to large girl, guessing around 40-50 pounds and will be a good running partner for Jess if she can keep up.
Her story is that a family had a dog that got knocked up as they couldn't afford to spay her so the people at AARCS agreed to cover the surgery and help locate homes for the last pup. She is timid and we don't believe she had seen much of the outside world until joining AARCS but she is coming around nicely.
