We were invited to spend the long weekend with friends at their cabin and had a wonderful time. They've got a beautiful place and lots of room to relax as well as run around and be big kids.
On Saturday it was nice enough to take the boat out for some water sports and beach bumming. The boys started off a bit timid on the tube but were asking to go faster by the end of the day. Karen is a great skier and boat skipper as she got me up on skis for the first time in over 16 yrs. Jess enjoyed the sun and chilling on the beach.
Sunday was a bit too cool and rainy so we took a road trip to check out the area and the small town of Eureka. It warmed up in the afternoon and we had our own labour day classic playing soccer, baseball, football and frisbee. We took a nice walk down to the marina in the evening and just took it easy.
Aside from the crazy long ride home we had a very low key relaxing weekend. As Aidan said jumping off the tube "That was awesome!", ditto goes for the whole trip.
